University Regulations

MPhil by Advanced Study - subject to General Regulations and course-specific Special Regulations in the Statutes & Ordinances (Ordinances, Chapter VII).

Master of Research - subject to General Regulations and course-specific Special Regulations in the Statutes & Ordinances (Ordinances, Chapter VII).

Course-specific Regulations

Handbooks for each course add detail to the University Regulations by providing descriptions of the available papers and examination rules (such as submission arrangements, deadlines, grading etc). All candidates must make themselves aware of the contents of the relevant Handbook and any other information provided on the course website or by the Course Administrator/Director.

Any examination enquiries should be directed to the Course Administrator or Director in the first instance.

Terms of study and residence

Full time students must complete at least three terms of study AND keep three terms of residence (find more information here).

Code of Practice for Masters Students

Students taking the MPhil by Advanced Study and the MRes are subject to the University's Code of Practice for Masters Students. All candidates must make themselves aware of the content of the Code of Practice and of the University's rules on Good practice in research and the avoidance of plagiarism.

Examination access arrangements

If candidates think that they may need an arrangement to help with their preparation for, or, the actual undertaking of their examinations, they should contact their College Tutor as soon as possible. Further information is available on the Cambridge Students website.
